SEO Setup

SEO short for Search Engine Optimisation is required to ensure your site achieves the best exposure to potential buyers.

When your site first goes live, your V4 integration specialist will have set these up for you and your business. At any time you are able to change them to focus your site onto a different range of products and attract different types of customers.

For Example

If you are selling a certain type of product like "perfume", make sure your SEO matches that product and focus on key words like:

• Perfume
• UK Perfume Shop
• Cheap Perfume

As potential buyers search Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN the more focussed your website is on the keywords above, the higher the chance a potential buyer will find your site, and hopefully purchase your products.

What to Consider

The keywords above are very vague, and will most probably result in your site being found in the latter pages of a search result initially. We would suggest focussing your keywords / description on particular products / range. So for example:

• Joop Perfume
• Mens Joop Aftershave
• Cheap Joop Perfume

This will then focus your website on the Joop product range and you will have a higher chance of appearing in the first set of results on a Search Engine

PLEASE NOTE Meta Tags (Keywords / Description) do take time to change in the search engines. So results are very unlikely to be seen within 2 weeks of changing them.

SEO Setup in the TidyV4

Each of your products, and categories can have their own keywords and descriptions set up in their respective areas (please see Category Management & Product Management). However if you do not set any keywords or descriptions for your categories / products they will revert back to your default settings which are below

Default META Keywords

• Enter keywords seperated by Commas. Eg: Joop Perfume, UK Perfume Shop, Cheap Perfume
• for the best possible results please only use 3 phrases

Homepage Title

• The Title of your Homepage e.g: UK Perfume Shop specialising in Joop for men, Joop for Women
• for the best possible results please only use 3 phrases

Default META Description

• Please enter a default description that includes your keywords such as
• Cheap Joop perfume in the UK, Pay Online with FREE UK DELIVERY

Default Site Title

• The Default Title of your site if for example a product name is not found e.g: UK Perfume Shop specialising in Joop for men, Joop for Women

Title Affix

• Places text at the end of each page title like: 35ml Joop for Men - Online Perfume Store
